Chubby Bunny...

We have been potty training Kaitlyn for the last little bit and so in her bathroom we have a gumball machine. Every time she goes potty she gets to put a penny in the slot and out comes her gumball! This has been working great because she loves the gumballs. I found out this morning just how MUCH she loves the gumballs. I was in my room crying over something they were showing on Regis & Kelly, so admittedly I wasn’t paying the closest attention to my daughter…well, once I was done with the cry fest over some sweet mother who donated her sons organs after a motorcycle accident, I went to find Kaitlyn. Apparently I had placed the gumball machine too close to the edge of the counter and Kaitlyn had reached up and got it, figured out how to pop the top off, and had stuffed her mouth full of the rest of the gumballs (like 10!). I had to tell her that that was a “no no” and she only gets them when she goes potty but it was just so stinkin cute and funny that I had to capture the moment!
(I only had my phone close, so the pictures aren’t great…)

Chipmunk cheeks!
Kaitlyn inherited my cheeks, so let's be honest,
she had plenty of room in there! Sorry babe!

We hold these truths to be self-evident...

This past week one of the original copies of The Declaration of Independence was on display at the Utah Capitol building. So Saturday we headed up there to see it. We had NO IDEA how many people had our same idea. So after THREE HOURS in line we finally got our chance to take a look. Kaitlyn had a rough time having to stand around for 3 hours, and our backs and feet hurt but once we got the front of the line and took our turn to look at the Declaration, it was worth it. It’s such an amazing piece of history and there was quite a reverence there.

Waiting, waiting, waiting….

We tried to find the map on the back, but they wouldn’t let us! (just kidding!)
Kaitlyn fell asleep TEN MINUTES before we go to the declaration!

View from the Capitol. We live in such a BEAUTIFUL valley!

4 whole years!

So Sunday was my and Brian’s 4th wedding anniversary! Man, time flies. Since it was Sunday we didn’t do much by way of celebrating so last night Brian took me out on the town! We went to The Melting Pot (one of my faves!) and then to see the new Batman movie (which was awesome, I was jumping and covering my eyes the whole time!).

I’m so happy Brian and I got married. I couldn’t ask for a better husband for me or a better father for my kids. I love you buddy, you’re the bestest!

Girls Camp

Last week I spent 3 days at Girls Camp. It was so fun to be there with the other leaders and the girls. We camped out in tents, hiked, did skits, sang silly songs, laughed a lot, and even got to go boating the last day. I love my calling in the Young Women’s, and loved going to camp!

Breaking Dawn Release Party

The book is here! (And I’ve already finished it of course!) Friday night we had a little girls-night-out with my cousins to celebrate the release of the book. We got ourselves all dressed up went to eat at Carinos. Then we attended the Breaking Dawn release party at Barnes & Noble. It was sooo fun! There were so many CRAZY girls there with “I love Edward” t-shirts everywhere! It was really fun to be that crazy-obsessed fan for the night without having to hold anything back!
