Ode to Brian

Brad Paisley has recently come out with a song that describes my husband to a tee. If you know Brian then you can totally picture him saying all these things. If you don't know Brian, here is a good way to get to know him!

I'm Still A Guy by Brad Paisley

I love you Brian and ALL your guyness!

Birthday Bash

Sunday was my birthday and was such a fun day! Brian was so good to me, he got up early to make me breakfast, threw a little party for me with my brothers and sister AND he did all the cleaning ALL DAY! (sorry about some of the pictures that are blurry, apparently my little sis can’t control a camera that well…!)

Notice Kaitlyn trying to steal my new purse!

P.S. I LOVE this movie!!!

Fun Weekend

We had a great weekend! The weather is sooooo nice so Saturday we took Katilyn to the park and let her run around and play, play, play. To end the day we took Kaitlyn to Grandma and Grandpa’s house and headed over to the Cheesecake Factory with some friends. The food was AWESOME and the cheesecake delicious! Two thumbs up for a fun weekend!

Lucky & Unlucky

We were lucky because we were able to score playoff tickets (in a suite no less!) but unlucky because the Jazz lost. Brian got the tickets through work yesterday so we threw on our blue and headed to the ESA. Our throats hurt because we did A LOT of yelling, but it was totally worth it because we had sooo much fun!

It was like a carnival outside the arena!

Warming Up

Me, giving love to D-Will

This is about the 3rd quarter when we down by 19! It was ridiculous.

This is us celebrating when we had our awesome comeback in the 4th quarter and were only down by 3! (k, it's not really us celebrating but I was way to busy jumping up and down and screaming to get the camera out)Lakers Victory. Lame.

Brian in mourning after the game.

WIN JAZZ!. . .Please!

This is my way of putting GOOD VIBES out there in the universe in hopes of helping the Jazz score a win tonight. I think if we can pull off a win in LA tonight then we will take this round. I hate Kobe. I love the Jazz and love watching the playoffs but I think they are giving me ulcers or high blood pressure!

Go D-Will! (He's our FAVORITE!!!!)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAYLOR!

This week we celebrated my little brother Taylor’s birthday. It’s always so fun when my brothers and sisters get together. Tay turned 23!!! Taylor is by far the funniest kid I have ever met. Our whole lives he has been making jokes. He is also an amazing artist and is now embarking full speed ahead on his entrepreneurial career. We love you Tay and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Lots of Laughs when the Oborn's get together!

Taylor and his girlfriend Narissa

We were incomplete without our baby sister. We miss you Jessie!!!!

Fun Tag

I got this off my friend Mindi’s blog and it looked pretty fun, so here goes!

What television show or movie did you want to be in when you were little?
Full house

Which character or star?
DJ, totally
Most embarrassing moment your friends will never let die?
The time I peed my pants at the park. It’s a long story so I won’t bore you with it, but let’s just say I was 16, hanging out with older boys, and I tried to convince everyone I had fallen in a puddle…on a hill…there hadn’t been rain for days.

Your proudest moment or accomplishment?
The day I became a mother. There is NOTHING on this earth that has made me fill more fulfilled and that I truly had a purpose in this life.

What adult did you have a crush on when you were little?
I went through a Keanu Reeves thing when SPEED came out, I also loved Mike Seaver from Growing Pains.

What habit or personality trait do you have of your mother or father?
I laugh and talk loud, quote movies, and look just like my mom. I love reading, good food, and history just like my dad.
What did you want to change your name to when you were little?
I tried to go by my middle name, Kimberly, for awhile but no one would call me by it.

Who was your first kiss?
Joel Worthington on the stairs at Camille Loftin’s 6th grade graduation party.

What are 3 adjectives that someone from high school or middle school would use to describe you?
Talkative, religious (I was in the minority on that one), silly

What hairstyle, clothes, or other accessories did you rock back in the day when it was cool?
I totally had HUGE bangs, I tied my shirt in a knot on the side, and I wore neon socks. Oh wait! I forgot Koolats!

What job did those long and annoying surveys in school say you would be good at?
I don’t remember, I think teacher was on there once. And what did you try and make the test result outcome be? ???
What made you laugh harder than you have ever laughed before?
I laugh hard all the time. Brian says things that make me cry I’m laughing so hard, he also makes up songs that make me laugh!

Favorite memories of hanging out with your best friends?
Probably sleepovers and TPing all the boys we thought were cute. I was the MASTER TPer.

What's the most trouble you have ever got in with your parents?
I never got in that much trouble, so I don’t remember a time they were way mad at me. The worst thing I ever did though (I think) my parents, mainly my dad, was just way disappointed in me, and that’s way worse anyway. He told me I couldn’t get my ears double pierced. I really wanted it though so the day my family moved to Montana (I got to stay in Kansas an extra month with friends) I went to the mall and got my second holes in my ears. I tried to keep it from my dad but he found out and was way sad. I felt really bad (but kept them of course) but as luck would have it the very next General Conference Pres. Hinckley came out and said that girls should only have 1 piercing. So I took them out…I’m pretty sure my dad was grinning when he heard the prophet say that! The ONE thing I ever do against my dad’s will!

What was your 5 year plan when you had to write it out in high school?
Go to BYU and then get married.
And last but not least...What is your 5 year plan now?
Keep being a mom and popping out those babies! And maybe be one of those moms that creates something in their house, sells it, and becomes a millionaire.

I would like to tag....anyone and everyone

A Day at the Farm

You wouldn’t know it with the SNOW we woke up to yesterday, but the beginning of the week was so beautiful! I couldn’t stand being inside with temperatures close to 80 so my friend Abbey and I took our girls down to Thanksgiving Point to the Animal Farm. The girls had so much fun and it was a great way to spend the day.

Anna & Kaitlyn

Abbey & Anna
Kaitlyn thought it was hilarious feeding donkey!
Admittedly, Kaitlyn spent more time getting in and out of the wagon than she did looking at the animals.

Kaitlyn had fun watching the ponies but once I got her riding one she kind of freaked out! Sadly, we had the camera on video instead of picture so I don't have any pictures of it. It was quite a scene with Kaitltyn screaming and me holding her on the pony with all my might!

She LOVED the birds!
