Tag...

So, I know I just posted some info about me -but my good friend Mindi tagged me so I figure even if everyone else is bored, at least SHE will like to read what I wrote!

10 years ago:
I was a sophomore at Olathe East High School in Kansas. I was on Drill Team and patiently waiting to turn 16! That year I also pulled a fork out my sister’s leg when she fell into the dishwasher!

Snacks I enjoy:
I love most treats. Caramello bars are my fave. I like sour candy, brownies, pie, root beer, and chocolate!

5 things on my to-do-list today:
1. Scrub the shower and bath tubs
2. Organize Kaitlyn’s drawers
3. Make dinner
4. Find a book that is not in the Twlight series (I just read all 3 books again in like 4 days and once I start I can’t think about anything else!)
5. Teach Kaitlyn where her ears are. (She can point to her nose and belly button now!)

Things I would do if I were suddenly made a billionaire:
-Buy Brian his helicopter
-Get a new wardrobe
-Build schools and medical facilities in South America
-Go to Italy
-See ALL the shows on Broadway
-Buy my parents a big house
-Buy Brian all the guns he wanted
-SOOO many more things

3 of my bad habits:
1. Letting people walk all over me
2. Not cleaning off the top of the toothpaste
3. Leaving my visiting teaching to the LAST week of the month (sometimes day)

5 places I have lived:
1. Sandy, UT
2. Kansas
3. California
4. Montana
5. Provo, UT

Jobs I have had:
-Car Hop at Sonic
-Dry Cleaners
-Galyan’s in Men’s Apparel
-Day Care-over the 3 year olds
-Treatment Center for At-Risk Youth
-Salon receptionist
-Administrative Assistant
-HR
-And the BEST: MOMMY!

Things people don't know about me:

-I can recite every line of Saturday’s Warrior
-I HATE doing the dishes
-I dance in my bedroom all the time
-While playing night games for Mutual, my mom tried to tag me and ended up sticking her finger up my nose and when her finger came out, her acrylic nail stayed in..really far up! It was gross, painful, and pretty bloody!

I tag Tamara J., Mindi B., Tamara O., & Alex

Something Fun

It’s been a while since I have blogged because I’ve been a little under the weather. Nothing much has happened in that time but I saw this fun thing on my friend’s blog so I thought I would do it too. You are supposed to answer the following questions using Google, you put your answer in, and then find an image of your answer. Here goes…
How old are you?
Where do you live?
What is your middle name?
(just so you know, most of the pictures that came up were of scantily-clad women…hmm)

What is your occupation?
What is your favorite movie?

What is your favorite color?

What do you like to do in your spare time?

What is your favorite food?

What is your favorite music?

What is your favorite book?

Silly Girl

For a while now Kaitlyn has found that playing with clothes is one of her favorite pastimes. She will grab clothes out of the laundry basket, out of the dirty clothes hamper, and even open drawers she can reach and take clothes out of there. Lately, her favorite item of clothing is pants, particularly her pants. She grabs any pants she sees and immediately goes about sticking them on her head. Now, I don’t where she got this – I RARELY stick pants on my own head - but Kaitlyn sure does love it!

Viva Las Vegas!

Brian and I got to take a mini-vacation the beginning of this week. Brian had a conference down in Las Vegas at the Venitian Hotel Monday and Tuesday. So I packed my bags and headed down with him. It was the FIRST time I have every left Kaitlyn over night! It was hard, but I did it and it turned out great because Brian and I had such a fun time.
The Hotel was beautiful and modeled after Venice, Italy.

The room was beautiful and HUGE! I spent about half my time in the room while Brian was in meetings, but with the big garden tub (with a TV) and the big LCD screens in the bedroom and living room, I was just fine!

Inside the hotel was so beautiful.

This guy was awesome!

They have an awesome mall at the hotel. It looks like day in these pictures but really its like 9:00 at night, they just paint and light it just right.
They even have gondolas!
It was a great little trip for us!

Uptown Girl!

I couldn’t resist posting these pictures! I walked into my bedroom the other day to find Kaitlyn walking around with my purse (full of her blocks) on her shoulder and my cell phone up to her ear jabbering away. If there is one thing we can say about Kaitlyn, she is all GIRL!!!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! Wow, time sure does fly by. I can’t believe its 2008! This has been a great year. 2007 was our first year our with our sweet Kaitlyn and I think having her around has made everything a little sweeter. Going to the pool was so much more exciting, Halloween was fun and silly again, sleep became the luxury I never knew it was, and the small moments of crawling, walking, and hearing “mama” brought me more joy than I could ever know.

I could not leave the past year behind me without expressing my gratitude for all my many blessings. Brian has a sucessfull job he loves and allows me to be a stay-at-home mom, a dream fulfilled for me. Kaitlyn is growing (not so much hair..) and developing perfectly and is as cute as a bug. We are healthy and happy. Brian has X-box and guns, I have books and movies, and Kaitlyn gets to watch Finding Nemo and Hairspray everyday! We have so many people who love and care for us, wonderful family and friends. We have the Gospel in our lives and the knowledge of a loving Father in Heaven and Savior. How could we not be happy!!!!

Now onto the New Year celebration! Our friend’s Tyler and Jessica Mitchell hosted a New Year’s Eve party. It was so much fun. We have great friends and it was so fun to get to party with them all night (especially with Kaitlyn celebrating with Grandma and Grandma)!

Brian + Erin + NO baby= one wild and crazy time!

We played a lot of fun games. Brian won our game of Hilarium (he wins everything) but the girls SCHOOLED the boys in Mad Gab! (thanks Amy)

Our Happy New Year toast!

Apparently Brian had a little too much of the Martinelli's bubbly!

What GREAT friends we have!
